Tech Ed in Action: Building the Future, One Boat at a Time!
Check out what’s happening in our Tech Ed 2 classroom! Our talented students have been hard at work trading textbooks for toolkits as they dive into an incredible hands-on engineering project.
The Challenge
Students are currently in the "design and construct" phase of building custom battery-operated boats. This isn't just about making something that floats; it’s about understanding:Hydrodynamics: Designing hulls for stability and speed. Electrical Engineering: Wiring power sources to propulsion systems. Structural Integrity: Ensuring their vessels can withstand the open water.
The Big Test
Last Thursday, students put their creations to the ultimate test in a real-world environment at Arctic Springs. They launched their boats and watched to see how well they sailed. We are so proud of the creativity and problem-solving skills these students are showing. It’s amazing to see the next generation of engineers, builders, and innovators getting their hands dirty and bringing their ideas to life!
