



6th Grade Art
All 6th graders participate in a 6-week art term. In this term, they will have experiences in a variety of materials. We focus on the art process and begin to identify our ways of thinking like an artist.
Projects include, but are not limited to:
Drawing
Painting
Clay
Mixed Media
Art students engage in lots of self-reflection, identifying areas of strength and places for growth. Here are our current self-reflections in rubric form.
Art 1
for 7th & 8th Grade
Art 1 is a 6-week art class that incorporates the use of a variety of materials. Students will create using basic perspective drawing skills, explore earth clay and practice a variety of composition techniques.
Art 2
for 7th & 8th Grade
Art 2 is a 6-week art class that uses of a variety of materials. Students will construct plaster sculptures with a variety of underlining armature techniques, explore color theory, and strengthen their drawing skills by focusing on light sources and values.
