For the past 15 years, the University of Wisconsin - Extension, Trempealeau County, has been hosting an Eighth Grade Environmental Learning Day program in May each year for Trempealeau County schools. This consists of eighth-grade students from around the county travelling to visit Lock and Dam #6, hike Brady’s Bluff in Perrot Park, and participate in a hands-on activity at the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge
